MessageSujet: N barbaric evil unjust slavery🙌raise awareness🙌lie to us🙌hid   Sam 23 Sep - 9:02 Behind closed doors at Texas A&M University, golden retrievers are being deliberately bred to develop different types of muscular dystrophy so that they can be victimized in cruel experiments.

The disturbing video footage obtained by PETA shows very thin dogs housed in barren metal cells. They can barely walk, and they struggle to swallow thin gruel—the only food that they can eat, given how easily they choke.

To gauge how much their muscles have deteriorated, the laboratory uses a crude technique that could pass for medieval torture: repeatedly s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g them with a motorized lever that causes muscle tears.

The university has been at this barbaric endeavor for more than 30 years, experiments that have failed to offer a cure or even an effective intervention for muscular dystrophy in humans.

SANDY, I'm sickened by the thought that loyal and kind golden retrievers are purposely being betrayed by experimenters. Please donate now and help us mobilize more people against the horrors facing dogs and other animals.

Puppies born in that laboratory were bred to have a form of muscular dystrophy—intentionally forcing them into a life of suffering that worsens by 6 weeks of age as their hind limbs shift forward, making walking difficult. Some are even unable to open their mouths.

After decades of experiments on weak and suffering dogs, there is still no cure or treatment to reverse the course of muscular dystrophy in humans—some treatments that seemed effective in the dogs actually made the condition worse in humans in clinical trials!

Your generous support today will immediately strengthen PETA's vital work to end such cruel and deadly experiments on dogs and other animals.

Muscular dystrophy is a terrible disease, but there are better ways to help patients who have it. Cutting-edge technology—such as using skin cells from people with the condition to develop disease-specific cures and growing healthy human muscle cells that can be transplanted into patients—have led to more promising therapies without hurting animals. With your help today, we can keep up the pressure on Texas A&M to shut down this golden-retriever laboratory and promote the adoption of modern humane research methods that save lives.

Will you help us put an end to the abuse and killing of animals in laboratories by donating right now?

Thank you in advance for your urgently needed help.
